After Insigne & Criscito: Also Bernardeschi before moving to Toronto FC

European champion currently without a club

Toronto FC face the third transfer move of the summer and appear to have signed the next (ex-)Italy international. According to the editorial staff of Gianluca Di Marzio, after Lorenzo Insigne (31) and Domenico Criscito (35), Federico Bernardeschi should also move to Major League Soccer.

The 28-year-old is without a club after his contract with Juventus Turin ended and would therefore like his two compatriots to come on a free transfer. Over the past few hours, Bernardeschi reportedly confirmed his desire to finalize the transfer as soon as possible. Only the signing at the MLS club is still missing.

The 2021 European champion moved from AC Florenz to Turin in 2017 for €40m but couldn’t establish himself there as a permanent player. In 183 games, he was directly involved in 36 goals (12 goals, 24 assists).
