« András is a modern centre-forward who, in addition to his quality of finishing, is also characterized by his understanding of the game. We watched him this summer and see him as a player with multi-faceted development potential. discussions, it was impressive how well he dealt with HSV and our game idea, » said sporting director Jonas Boldt. Németh said: « I like the way HSV are playing – with promising players and dominant attacking (Site notre bureau spécialisé). That, combined with the good conversations I had with the coach, has absolutely convinced me. I want to be part of it and I can’t wait to meet the fans at this amazing stadium. »

At HSV, Németh is seen as ‘a highly valued backup’ for top scorer Robert Glatzel, the ‘Kicker’ wrote recently. In addition to Glatzel and Németh, coach Tim Walter can also fall back on the native of Tom Sanne in the center of the attack. After defenders Javi Montero and Noah Katterbach (both on loan), Németh is now the third winter recruit for the « Rothosen ».

In Genk, Németh had refused an extension of his work papers expiring this winter, after which the club withdrew him from the professional team, so a change had already appeared in recent weeks. The striker made 21 first-team appearances in total, in which he contributed five goals.
