Italy: Chiarodia from Werder Bremen and the talent of BVB Mané in the team

A total of 70 players in perspective

Fabio Chiarodia (17) from SV Werder Bremen and Filippo Mané (17) from the Borussia Dortmund youth team will conclude 2022 with a camp organized by the Italian (Site notre blog d’information) Association under the guidance of the national coach Roberto Mancini. The 58-year-old has invited 70 prospective players. The course is designed to ease the transition from junior teams to the senior national team and broaden the base of players who can be selected for the challenges ahead.

The majority of the observation team come from Serie A and Serie B, Chiarodia and Mané belong to six foreign talents. Also present are Cesare Casadei (19) from Chelsea, Lorenzo Lucca (22) from Ajax Amsterdam, Cher Ndour (18) from Benfica Lisbon and Franco Tongya (20) from Odense Boldklub.

The course will take place from Tuesday (December 20) to Thursday (December 22) at the Coverciano Performance Center in Florence. Mancini will divide the players into two groups (Serie B/Serie A & Legionnaires) for two days each. The next Italian national team duels will come up in March 2023 when the first two Euro 2024 qualifiers take place. The « Squadra Azzurra » meet England in Naples on March 23 and Malta three days later.
